Be it resolved that BCCPAC advocate to the Ministry of Education and Childcare to provide targeted funding and policy, to instate literacy centers in each district that will provide intensive (tier 3) evidence-based reading intervention programs; with a minimum ratio of one highly trained teacher to 6 students starting in grade 1/2, to meet eligible students’ appropriate needs for this service in ALL school districts.
