2011 Bev Hosker Award Winner - Linda Bontron

Charlie Lake Elementary PAC, SD60 Peace River North

Linda Bontron has always contributed tireless effort and volunteered countless hours to the Charlie Lake Elementary PAC.  She is always willing to be involved and take on a leadership role.  Linda has demonstrated hard work, dedication, professionalism, and is always eager to learn and share her experience with others.  She is an amazing volunteer with a wonderful personality who has a real passion for making our school the best place it can be.  Thank you and congratulations – you are appreciated more than words can say.

This award was established in honour of a lady who was a Director of BCCPAC from January 2000 until May 2002, including one year as First Vice-President. Bev Hosker contributed commendable amounts of time and energy as a tireless advocate for parents and students.  She was passionate about safe schools and believed that every school and district should have a safe schools committee.  She also advocated for the education system to provide a variety of high school math programs so that all students could succeed at math.  Bev was outspoken in questioning the status quo and challenged others to speak up as she did.  She felt strongly about parents educating themselves in order to ensure that their students’ needs were met.
