President, Ann Whiteaker
SD#61 Greater Victoria
Ann has been actively involved in all school levels: elementary, middle, and high school, as well as the district level. Formally First Vice President for BCCPAC, Ann is looking forward to an active and busy year at BCCPAC as we continue to support our membership and reach out to the Education Partners to support student success.

Treasurer, Susan Wilson
SD#08 Kootenay Lake
Susan was elected to the BCCPAC Board April 30, 2011. She currently lives with her family in the small unincorporated area of Winlaw, in the Slocan Valley, BC. She is married and mother to three boys, two of which are in the K-12 system.
Susan is a self-employed bookkeeper and Tupperware Consultant for the last 20 years. In addition to volunteering at the school, district and provincial level, she is a former Director of the local recreation commission, and a former Director on the Winlaw Hall Society.

Director, Liz Therres
SD#23 Central Okanagan
Liz was elected to this position at the 2010 Annual General Meeting. She is a mother of three children, covering the gamut of the schools system, from elementary through high school. Liz currently runs her own distribution business. Liz is an active part of her community's education system at the PAC level, district level and now at the provincial level.

Director, John Puddifoot
SD#39 Vancouver
John was elected to the BCCPAC Board April 30, 2011. John is a father of two and a business owner, running his own import/distribution company supplying the restaurant industry for over 20 years. He holds a BA (Economics) and an MBA with a concentration on Human Resources, Employment Law, and Marketing from UBC.
John is a past president of the Train Gamers’ Association and was PAC Chair for three years at Queen Mary Elementary in Vancouver. He currently represents both Lord Byng Secondary and Queen Mary as DPAC rep. John has been active in the Neighbourhood Learning Centre initiative and a frequent contributor to Janet Steffenhagen’s education blog

Director, Cathy Jewett
SD#48 Sea to Sky
Cathy was elected to the BCCPAC Board April 30, 2011. She has been actively involved in PACs and DPACs since 1998 since her first child entered the school system in Whistler. She is married with two children.
Cathy has worked as a Professional Ski Patroller for over 30 years. She developed a Mountain Safety Education program and produced two videos aimed at Elementary and Secondary students. Cathy has visited many schools to present the program.
In 2010 Cathy had the opportunity to work for VANOC during the Olympics supervising the Ski Patrol for the Olympic Women’s Alpine Events. She is a founding member of the Whistler Off Road Cycling Association, Association of Whistler Residents for the Environment and the Whistler Social Sustainability Speakers Series (WSSSS).

Director, Terry Berting
SD#41 Burnaby
Terry was elected to the BCCPAC Board April 30, 2011. He has been actively involved with PACs at the school and district levels for about six years and is excited about now being involved at the provincial Board level. He believes in the "power of PACs" and their potential to influence the public education system in a genuine and positive way, and is looking forward to having an informative, collaborative, successful year.
